To me, Jack-o-Lanterns ARE
Halloween. Vampires, witches and ghosts haunt us all year long, but
Jack sometimes doesn't survive the night! Halloween is the only night
we get to see those glowing eyes and pointy teeth.
The photographs on this page are
Jack-o-Lanterns I carved using a kit. This witch was difficult to
make, especially her eye.
In Switzerland, pumpkin carving is a
rather lonely pastime. We grew this pumpkin (above), carved it AND
made a pie. That was really scary!
